Daniel Corbin will be standing as the Conservative Candidate for Aston Division in May’s Derbyshire County Council elections which covers the communities of Ambaston, Aston-on-Trent, Barrow upon Trent, Boulton Moor, Elvaston, Foremark, Shardlow, Stanton-by-Bridge and Weston-on-Trent
Daniel has been the district councillor for Aston Ward since 2019 and since 2023 has been the Leader of the Conservative Group and Opposition Leader at South Derbyshire District Council where he has led the charge in holding Labour to account for their mismanagement of the authority.
As a councillor, Daniel has a proven track record of getting things done for local residents. He successfully pushed for the installation of a new mast in Aston to improve phone signal for the surrounding communities and is working with the County Council and Severn Trent to address issues of flooding that affects many villages in the area. Furthermore, he has worked with local parish councils to install CCTV cameras to combat instances of fly tipping and secured thousands in funding for local sports and play areas.
If elected to the County Council Daniel will be a strong voice for the residents of Aston Division pushing to make our roads and streets safer, something he has already been doing as a district councillor.
