South Derbyshire Conservatives were delighted to attend the Derbyshire County Show on Sunday 28th June at Elvaston, in the heart of South Derbyshire. As one of the county’s premier annual events, the show provided a fantastic opportunity to showcase everything our local area has to offer while meeting thousands of residents and visitors from across Derbyshire and beyond.
We were pleased to support the excellent Conservative stand organised by Derbyshire Area Conservatives, and would like to thank everyone involved in making the day such a success.
Our Association Chairman, Cllr Daniel Corbin, was joined by fellow South Derbyshire Conservative members throughout the day, meeting local residents, discussing the issues that matter most to them, and promoting the Conservative Party’s campaigns.
A key focus was the campaign to Stop the Family Farm Tax, which received a very positive response from visitors. Many were keen to show their support by wearing campaign stickers, while the popular cut-out of Kemi Badenoch proved a hit with families and visitors wanting to take a photo.
The stand welcomed Conservative members and supporters from across the county, as well as many people who were interested in learning more about the Party. There were encouraging conversations about Kemi Badenoch’s leadership, her clear policies, and her straightforward approach to politics.
It was a fantastic day for South Derbyshire Conservatives, demonstrating the importance of engaging with our local communities at events such as the Derbyshire County Show. We would like to thank Derbyshire Area Conservatives for organising such a successful presence at the show, and everyone who stopped by to chat with us and show their support.
